I am a certified Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and trained Mindful Self Compassion (MSC) teacher. I run 8-9 week MBSR courses & MSC courses regularly at Woonona medical practice on Saturday afternoons and occasionally at Russellvale Community Hall on a Tuesday.

These face to face courses not only teach mindfulness, meditation and self -compassion… they can increase the meaning and richness of daily life as well as building a wonderful sense of connection.

I also offer some online courses, including a 5-week Explain Pain course,  a 6-week online Short MSC programme (SCMSC), a 5-week Fundamentals of Mindfulness course, and occasionally some Book Club courses (5-6 weeks).

Please feel free to contact me to discuss your suitability for any of the courses.

MBSR brings the principles of mindfulness meditation into everyday life by teaching specific skills and practices that can be incorporated into daily life to help break cycles of anxiety, stress, unhappiness and exhaustion.

The MBSR programme classes are conducted as weekly 2.5 hour sessions over 8-9 weeks. This includes a full retreat day as part of the program. Each participant receives an individual phone interview prior to the course, and ongoing individual support from your teacher.

Based on the ground-breaking research of Kristin Neff and the clinical expertise of Christopher Germer, MSC teaches core principles and practices that enable participants to respond to difficult moments in their lives with kindness, care and understanding. Book Club courses

Based on psychiatrist and researcher Dan Siegel’s book Aware, this book club course explores awareness, the scientific benefits of mindfulness, the Wheel of awareness meditation, the nature of mind as a complex system, and even includes a touch of quantum physics!

This book club course explores the book Being Nature by Wes Nisker. It provides a practical program, complete with enjoyable, even playful meditations which Adele will guide, for realising greater self-awareness, increased wisdom, and happiness. It shows how recent discoveries in physics, evolutionary biology, and psychology express in scientific terms the same insights the Buddha discovered more than 2,500 years ago.
