Silent Day Retreats

Day Retreat Overview

The all-day silent mindfulness retreat is run from time to time at Mount Keira Girl Guides Lodge.

The Camp is set in beautiful Illawarra rainforest.  It is a lovely local venue and the perfect place to practice presence, openness, curiosity, acceptance and appreciation.

The day will involve a mix of mindfulness meditations – less guided than usual.

These day retreats are suitable for those that have attended at least one previous silent mindful meditation day retreat. Some of them are part of a course and others not. They usually book out quickly. They are offered first with an early bird price on the Mindfulness WhatsApp group so please contact Adele if you would like to join.

About silence, technology and meditation practice:
It seems as if everything in our day-to-day lives takes us away from ourselves. In a loud and distracting world with that feeling of being ‘too busy’ … the noises, stress, anxiety… this way of life then becomes our daily lived experience which we perceive as normal. We ask that to fully receive the benefits of stillness and silence that you turn off your phones for the duration of the retreat. Adele’s number can be provided as an emergency contact.

Reading, drawing and writing materials are discouraged (with the exception of some brief journalling.)

Especially if you’d like to discuss whether the day retreat would be suitable for you.

See this page for Adele’s guided meditations
